Dublin’s SPRINTS are rapidly becoming one of the most vital names in contemporary rock. Formed in 2019 by Karla Chubb (vocals/guitar), Jack Callan (drums), and Sam McCann (bass), the band has experienced a breakout year following the release of their debut album Letter To Self in January 2024. The album earned rave reviews from NME, DIY, Dork, and Pitchfork, praised for its raw honesty and themes of identity, trauma, and resilience.
Known for their explosive live shows, SPRINTS have toured globally, opened for IDLES and Pixies, and delivered unforgettable sets at Glastonbury, End of the Road, and All Together Now. Their sound—gritty, cathartic, and deeply human—has resonated with a diverse audience, particularly within the queer community.
As they look toward their next chapter, SPRINTS are embracing transformation. The departure of original guitarist Colm O’Reilly led to the addition of Zac Stephenson, whose dynamic playing has reinvigorated their sound. Their new single “Feast,” recorded at Dublin’s Sonic Studios with producer Dan Fox (Gilla Band), marks a bold creative shift, blending gothic fiction and body horror with themes of desire, identity, and rebirth.
Chubb describes this period as one of rediscovery, with the band more committed than ever. Inspired by artists like Mannequin Pussy and Feeble Little Horse, SPRINTS are exploring new sonic territory while holding onto the emotional intensity that defines them.
Following a sold-out debut US headline tour and a scheduled performance at Riot Fest, the band will return to the UK and Europe later this year, including their biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town.
SPRINTS continue to push forward—ambitious, uncompromising, and fueled by a deep connection to their fans and each other.
