Annabelle Dinda is a New York–based songwriter whose viral single “The Hand” blew up on tiktok with no theatrics, just Annabelle and her guitar. It set the tone for the gutsy vulnerability of her new album Some Things Never Leave. Written from her Lower East Side apartment and recorded in Greenpoint with producer Jacob Portrait (Alex G, Orville Peck, Unknown Mortal Orchestra), the album captures Dinda in close focus through thoughtful, emotionally incisive lyricism paired with understated production that allows every lyric to fully land. Drawn to the quiet shifts that shape us, she favors immediacy and instinct over polish, resulting in songs that feel lived-in and uncover deeper meaning within seemingly ordinary moments. In a crowded landscape, Dinda emerges as an undeniable presence in contemporary songwriting. She does so not with spectacle, but with substance.
