The Skints

The Skints – hailed by The Guardian for “hard-hitting lyrics and sunny, feelgood grooves” – are a genre-defying London four-piece blending reggae, punk, soul, pop, grime and more into their self-coined “tropical punk.”

Formed in 2007 in North East London, they rose from the underground punk/ska circuit to global stages, releasing four acclaimed albums: Live, Breathe, Build, Believe (2009), Part & Parcel (2012), FM (2015) – which hit #5 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart – and their most adventurous work, Swimming Lessons (2019), featuring Protoje, Jesse Royal and Runkus.

Renowned for high-energy live shows, The Skints have toured the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe, played Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Boomtown and Summerjam, and supported NOFX, Less Than Jake, Protoje, and Sublime with Rome.

Praised by BBC Radio’s Jonathan Ross, Steve Lamacq, Craig Charles and David Rodigan, The Skints continue to push boundaries and deliver music with heart, grit and infectious groove.
