Rainbow Kitten Surprise returns to the UK in May and June 2026 with their fifth album bones, a bold, soulful, and deeply collaborative new chapter for the beloved genre-blurring band. Known for their electrifying live shows and emotionally charged songwriting, RKS has built a devoted following since forming at Appalachian State University in 2013, with over two billion streams to their name.
Led by frontwoman Ela Melo, RKS — with guitarists Bozzy Keller and Ethan Goodpaster and drummer Jess Haney — approached bones with a renewed creative fire. The album was born from an outpouring of inspiration, resulting in over 160 demos and a collection that blends groove-heavy indie rock with raw vulnerability and emotional clarity. Tracks like “Friendly Fire” and “100 Summers” highlight Ela’s distinctive voice and the band’s expanding sonic range.
Produced by longtime collaborator Jay Joyce, bones captures a band evolving with intention, leaning into openness, trust, and connection. With a new set of songs made to be experienced live, RKS is poised to deliver their most powerful performances to date.
Don’t miss Rainbow Kitten Surprise as they return to UK stages with music that moves, connects, and celebrates the journey.
