Rising artist Natalie Lindi is a recipient of the UK’s prestigious MOBO Awards “Unsung Class of 2022” and featured on the MOBO Unsung album released through Marshall Amp’s label. She was previously crowned the winner of the national Open Mic UK competition in 2019 after beating over 10,000 applicants to the top spot and winning “Best Song” 3 times in the same year.
Born and raised in London and borrowing sounds from her South African heritage, Lindi’s songwriting blends a variety of musical influences. Her gift for soulful melodies has drawn comparison to songwriters such as Lianne La Havas and Tori Kelly. Her incredible vocal range and captivating tone make for a distinctive and instantly impactful voice inspired by the stylings of artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Minnie Riperton.
Lindi has performed across the UK, including Ronnie Scotts, the Great Escape festival, the Roundhouse Beach, O2 Indigo, and Brighton Komedia, as well as European performances, including the Altersonic festival in the Netherlands. She has also performed alongside Bruno Major and supported hip-hop trailblazers Arrested Development.
Lindi has gone on to work with the renowned production duo Blue Lab Beats, having written and performed on their upcoming album and becoming their featured live vocalist. She has performed with them extensively, including the iconic Glastonbury festival and Jazzalida in Spain, and will accompany them on numerous UK and European dates in 2024.
Throughout 2024, Lindi’s long-awaited new music is being released through AWAL and has been supported and featured on numerous Apple Music playlists. Lindi has also received support from BBC Radio One and BBC Introducing. She will be showcasing her music at selected performances across the UK.
