Alt-pop duo Magdalena Bay are pleased to announce new UK, Ireland and European dates for their continued Imaginal Mystery Tour, to take place throughout February 2026. The tour takes in nights in Birmingham, CardiG, Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester, with the UK leg culminating with their biggest UK show to date at London’s Brixton Academy. They then continue on through Europe through to the end of the month.
The tour announcement comes in support of the band’s acclaimed 2024 album Imaginal Diskand follows their recent packed run of summer shows that have included appearances at LIDO Festival supporting Charli XCX, Primavera Sound Barcelona and Porto, Roskilde, Open’er, Lollapalooza Berlin, and headline shows through the US, Canada and beyond.Written and produced in full by Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin, Imaginal Disk was released in August 2024 via Mom+Pop Music and features singles ‘Image’ – which was later performed on Magdalena Bay’s late night TV debut on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ and remixed by Grimes – ‘That’s My Floor,’ ‘Tunnel Vision’ and ‘Death & Romance.’ The Imaginal Disk visual universe follows the story of True—played by the band’s Mica Tenenbaum—as she learns what it means to be human after receiving a consciousness upgrade in the form of an “imaginal disk” inserted into her forehead. Riffing on the real idea of imaginal discs in nature—wherein a caterpillar dissolves itself into a liquid form before reshaping itself into a butterfly—the album cheekily interrogates the existential questions that arise when pondering the nature of human consciousness.
