KuleeAngee, formed by Scottish friends Duncan Grant and Keshav Kanabar, combine guitar-driven melodies and acid house influences with a singular goal: to get people moving in clubs and on festival stages.

Hot off performances at London Calling Festival and The Great Escape, they are cementing themselves as one of the most exciting live acts. Today they release their debut EP Is It Awryt, via Lab/Underplay Records.

The band recently shared a live performance of single Push It, tinged with psychedelic and acid-house inflections, following previous tracks Animated Love and Be Good in their quest to merge guitars with squelchy dance music. Speaking on Push It, they said: “It’s about surrendering to instinct—no rules, no overthinking. Just the wild pull of the moment, pure release, and total commitment.”

Debut single Animated Love received support from BBC Radio 1’s Sian Eleri, Huw Stephens, Deb Grant, Craig Charles, Nick Grimshaw, Radio X’s John Kennedy, and BBC Intro Scotland. It also landed on Apple Music’s New In Alternative and Spotify’s Fresh Finds.

Their sold-out Sebright Arms show, BBC Introducing at Barrowlands, and support slots for Melin Melyn, Antony Szmierek, and Porij have marked them as a force live.

The name KuleeAngee, from “Kalyan Ji” (meaning “new dawn” in Sanskrit), reflects their ethos of breaking barriers and living fully in the present.
