Don’t miss Future Utopia Live in London January 2026!

Future Utopia, the innovative musical project led by Grammy-winning songwriter, producer Fraser T. Smith, takes listeners on hypnotic journeys through disco-infused synths, vocals, and feel-good basslines. Known for high-energy live shows with a rave-like atmosphere, the project blends infectious grooves with immersive soundscapes, pushing creative boundaries at every turn.

Future Utopia released debut album 12 Questions, in October 2020, featuring an incredible roll call of some of Britain’s most vital and brilliant artists, including Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Ghetts, Bastille, Es Devlin, Simon Armitage and Idris Elba. The album discusses issues including faith, freedom, race, gender, wealth, equality and ecology – all born of Fraser’s own anxieties about the world today. In 2021, Fraser won the Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best Contemporary Song’ for Future Utopia’s Children Of The Internet, his collaboration with Dave, taken from 12 Questions. The win is the latest plaudit for a creative partnership between Smith and Dave that has seen the pair win two previous Ivor Novello Awards, first in 2018 with ‘Best Contemporary Song’ for Dave’s Question Time, before they went on to win the prestigious prize again in 2020 for Dave’s track Black (from the Mercury Prize winning album Psychodrama), which they also performed together at The BRIT Awards in 2020.

In 2023, Future Utopia returned with the We Were We Still Are EP, which featured the mesmerising spoken word artist Kae Tempest, the ethereal, haunting vocal of Biig Piig and LA based artist TOMI. The focus track This Time featured Fraser’s lead vocals and paved the way for his sophomore album Django’s High, which was released in July 2024. Future Utopia, made up on stage of Fraser (lead singer, guitar, synths), Anthony ‘Sweetstix’ Lewis (drums), Molly J (backing vocals) have become known for their electric live shows, including a headline UK tour in October 2023, a tour of France, Belgium and the Netherlands in February 2025 and festival appearances at All Points East, Boardmasters, Lowlands and Pukkelpop to name a few.

In 2025 so far Future Utopia has released two singles: ‘Don’t Try This At Home’ followed by ‘The Pleasure Trap’ in collaboration with Lava La Rue. The summer festivals included headline sets at both Lost Village and Latitude.

(Fraser T. Smith is a multi-award winning, internationally acclaimed artist, producer, songwriter and musician – one of the most in demand creators in contemporary music today.
