Father John Misty has announced news of UK & EU tour dates for April 2025 including a very special performance at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
His sixth album ‘Mahashmashana’, set to be released September 2024, features eight songs across 50 minutes and includes the singles “I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All,” “She Cleans Up,” “Screamland,” and “Josh Tillman and The Accidental Dose.” The latter two were mixed by BJ Burton.
Standout track “I Guess Time Just Makes Fools Of Us All” was released last month with Father John Misty’s Greatish Hits… compilation and earned praise from Pitchfork (“26 Contenders for Song of the Summer”), The Observer, NME, The New Cue, The Line Of Best Fit and Esquire (“25 Best Songs of 2024, So Far”).
Father John Misty’s previous album was the universally acclaimed Chloë and The Next 20th Century which entered the UK album chart at Number 2 back in April 2022. “Stunningly melodic” said The Guardian, making it their Album of the Week, while Uncut hailed it as “another multi-faceted triumph” in an 8/10 lead review. Father John Misty went on to play a sold-out show at Hammersmith Apollo in early 2023 before returning just a couple of months later to perform the songs of Scott Walker at the Barbican accompanied by Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. During the Summer he returned to London to perform in Hyde Park as special guest to Lana Del Ray.
