Betty Taylor is the friend who holds your hand after a heartbreak. Fronted by Sophie Patrick, with harmonies and dreamy guitar from Kayla Smart (AKA Dorah Jacson), the band is completed by Claire Chittick (bass) and Katie Ishaque (drums).

From their first open mic to backyard shows just two and a half years ago, Betty Taylor has quickly grown into one of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts. Signing with Hello Gardener in late 2022, their debut single Stallin’—produced by Aidan Hogg (G Flip, Holy Holy)—premiered on triple j and has since reached close to a million streams.

In 2023, they joined global agency WME, toured with girl in red, Beddy Rays, and The Rubens, and appeared at major festivals including Groovin the Moo and Big Pineapple. Singles Glitter, Can’t Get Enough, and Young Dumb Immature earned heavy triple j rotation and landed on major Spotify, Apple, and YouTube playlists, with multiple top ten most-played tracks.

After a UK, Ireland, and Europe tour supporting The Grogans, Betty Taylor released their debut EP Young Dumb Immature in December 2024, earning U.S. airplay and a showcase at SXSW 2025. With over 3 million streams and growing global demand, Betty Taylor’s heartfelt songwriting and electrifying live shows are taking them worldwide.
