New wave icons Blondie are set to play a special set at this summer's RockNess festival.
Secluded in a Highland valley, RockNess is Scotland's wildest party. Growing in scale every year, this summer's event will boast performances from the likes of New York indie dons The Strokes.
Ian Brown and Doves are also due to perform, while Friendly Fires will take a rare break from the studio to entertain the crowds at Dores.
Continually adding new acts, RockNess recently confirmed a special set from new wave icons Blondie. Centred on iconic singer Debbie Harry, the New York band scored a series of smash hits during the 70s and 80s.
Moving from punk to disco, reggae to rap the band broke boundaries at the same time as they broke sales records. Perhaps the definitive new wave band, Blondie will be around to show The Strokes just how skinny ties should be worn.
Set to play a very special set at Dores, Blondie join a bill bristling with talent. Making its name as one of the few events to successful mix rock with dance, RockNess has confirmed a number of exclusive performances.
Optimo may be leaving behind Glasgow's Sub Club, but Twitch and Wilkes are set to drop by RockNess for an always unpredictable set. Notting Hill legend Norman Jay is due to bring his Good Times soundsystem to the event, while the likes of David E Sugar, Japanese Popstars and more have confirmed their arrival.
With tickets fast selling out, fans should act quick to take part in what will be one of the year's defining live events.
RockNess takes place between June 11th - 13th.
