Nordoff Robbins is a national specialist music charity, delivering music therapy to a broad range of people with a broad range of challenges, including autism, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury, learning difficulties, depression, or terminal illness such as cancer. A video about the charity from famous singer-songwriter Annie Lennox can be viewed here.
Nordoff Robbins have 60 therapists across the UK delivering over 50,000 music therapy sessions every year. They receive no statutory funding, and their annual income is just under £3 million. Even £25 raised pays for half an hour of music therapy for a young child in hospital suffering from terminal cancer, which utterly transforms their day.
