"God knows what they'll sound like next, but we can't wait to find out." - NME
"Islet are not just a band, they're an entirely fresh way of thinking" - Clash
“It’s intense, absorbing and amazing music, and that’s all you can ask” - The Line of Best Fit

Cardiff-based experimentalists Islet like to retain an air of mystery, through their minimalist internet presence to their alternately haunting-then-pummelling songs, but AEG Live gave you the chance to see behind the veil November 2011 at Brighton venue the Green Door Store.

Gigs have included high-profile slots at Bestival and the Reading and Leeds festivals.

Their music appeals to fans of material as varied as the percussive no-wave bands of 70s New York to more colourful, recent synth-enhanced, mathy rock like Foals and Battles, and by all accounts they are astonishingly powerful live.
